WINNIPEG, Dec. 30, 2024 – The Winnipeg Jets, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, today announced that forward Mark Scheifele has been named the NHL's First Star of the Week for the week ending Dec. 29.

Winnipeg Jets star forward Mark Scheifele has been named the NHL's first star of the week. The 31-year-old was dominant against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators, recording four goals and six points in those two games.

The NHL announced its “Three Stars” of the week ending December 29, presented by GEICO, with Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, and Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski earning top honors for their outstanding performances.

Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele is taking home top honours for his play over the last week. The NHL named Scheifele the first star of the week Monday after tallying six points in two games last week. Scheifele started the week with a third-period hat trick against the Toronto Maple Leafs to help propel the Jets to a 5-2.
