The fate of an Indiana man charged with murder in the 2017 killings of two teenage girls who vanished during an afternoon hike near their small hometown was in the hands of a jury Thursday.

Abby Williams and Libby German were found murdered in 2017 near Monon High Bridge in Delphi, Indiana. After years of uncertainty, suspect Richard Allen is finally on trial – but questions remain about key pieces of evidence that jurors will never hear.

Closing arguments wrapped up this afternoon. The jury received the case around 1:30 p.m., but jurors left without a verdict after about two hours of deliberation.
