After last summer’s rejection, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta is now ready to give Nico Williams another shot. According to Mundo Deportivo, a recent meeting between the Athletic Bilbao winger’s agent and Barça sporting director Deco has reignited the Catalan club’s interest.

Arsenal have also indicated they are ready to meet Williams’ 62m euros (£53m) release clause, though the winger still has his heart set on a move to Barcelona. In fact, another report from Sport says Williams has ruled out leaving Athletic Bilbao for any other club other than Barca.

Real Madrid have reportedly opted out of the race for Nico Williams this summer due to Vinícius Júnior’s contract negotiations. Williams, who is under contract with Athletic Bilbao until 2027, is at the center of transfer speculation in Spain.
