Authorities say a corrections officer has died after an assault by an inmate in an Ohio prison on Christmas morning.

After a corrections officer was killed on Christmas Day, the union representing prison guards is demanding changes from the state.

The Ross Correctional Institute is now operated under restricted movement and the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, according to the statement.
