BUDAPEST, Nov 7 (Reuters) - As much of Europe frets over the return of Donald Trump, Hungary's Viktor Orban is in a jubilant mood. "A much needed victory for the World!" the Hungarian nationalist leader wrote on X minutes after Trump declared victory.

European leaders have gathered at a summit in Hungary. This is the first such meeting since the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States, which will have very serious consequences for Europe.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will host dozens of European leaders in Budapest later this week boosted by his "dear friend" Donald Trump's US election victory, but with relations with other EU states increasingly strained.
