Americans planned demonstrations against President Donald Trump across the U.S. on Saturday as a counterpoint to the 200,000 people expected to attend the military parade in Washington.

Tens of thousands of protesters flooded Fifth Avenue Saturday afternoon as part of nationwide “No Kings” rallies, where millions denounced the Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts, proposals to purchase the Gaza Strip and deep cuts to higher education and federal programs.

"No Kings" protests against the Trump administration took place Saturday in and around New York City as part of nationwide demonstrations. Fifth Avenue was closed to traffic from 42nd Street to 23rd Street in Manhattan as protesters marched from Bryant Park.
