Djokovic surpassed Roger Federer (429) as the outright record holder for the most singles matches played at the majors by a man or a woman.

Novak Djokovic played his 430 Grand Slam match when the Serbian defeated Portuguese Jaime Faria at the Australian Open 2025 second round in men's singles. Roger Federer held the record previously with 429 matches.
