A celebratory birthday party turned tragic Friday night in North Oakland when gunfire erupted outside an event rental space, killing two people and injuring a third.

Less than 48 hours after a triple shooting in Oakland, a double shooting was reported early Sunday, police said.

Two victims, an 18-year-old woman and 19-year-old man, were transported to a local hospital by someone else in the car, authorities said.

Two people were killed and one person was injured following a shooting in Oakland Friday night, police say. The incident happened just after 10 p.m. in the 5500 block of Telegraph Avenue.

WARNING: video contains profanity] At approximately 10:05pm OPD responded to multiple 911 calls of shots fired and people screaming near the intersection of 55th St and Telegraph Ave. Upon arrival officers found 3 victims with apparent gunshot wounds.

A 16-year-old said she and her twin brother were celebrating their brother when gunfire broke out, killing two people.
